This colorful origami structure is meditative to look at and to make. As a modular origami structure, this piece is created by folding 16 sheets of paper the same way and then assembling the folded pieces into the finished circular design. Learn to fold and assemble, then make more while playing with color combinations. Origami is a satisfying way to work with your hands that is affordable, mess-free and can be done while in conversation with others in-person or virtually. Materials: 16 sheets of 6 x 6 inch origami paper. Any combination of colors/patterns you would like. Only one side of the paper will show.

*We are offering a reduced rate to BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) participants to honor equity and increase access and artistic opportunities for those who have historically been underrepresented in the book arts. For individuals to whom this does not apply, register at the rate listed first and, if you are able, consider making a donation when registering to support MCBA’s efforts to make reduced rates available.
