You have explored how-to books on making pop-ups. You're ready to make your own pop-up project. You are stymied by the question: "How do I adapt these classic, foundational structures to make MY OWN structures?" This virtual workshop will help you think through that problem by exploring nine different structures at four levels: foundational, transitional, transformational, and personal. To add to the fun, you will employ an innovative roll-up binding approach (think scroll rather than codex) for the pop-up folios. In the end you will have a tidy bound collection of study models that will propel you to the next step of pop-up invention. While all skill levels are welcome, pop-ups are technical and some basic experience may be helpful.*

What you'll need to participate: For this highly participatory virtual workshop, we recommend joining on a laptop or desktop computer with a camera and microphone, if possible. You will receive step-by-step instructions for downloading Zoom (it’s free!) and accessing the workshop online approximately 2 days before the workshop’s start date. You are responsible for sourcing your own supplies from the materials list. Teaching artists will answer questions about the materials list in advance of the workshop.
