Map Folds: More Than What Meets the Eye

This event is no longer on sale.

Wednesday April 7

7:00 PM  –  9:00 PM

with Laurel Jedamus
Wednesday, April 7; 7-9pm CT

A map fold is a large sheet of paper that gracefully collapses, when folded, into a book. Map folds are an ingenious way to include a larger map, image, or artwork into a book. They also offer a way to enhance a simple book structure with a unique sculptural element. In this virtual workshop, learn two styles of map folds: a Turkish map fold and a Hungarian map fold. Then, learn methods for including them in a simple pamphlet stitch book.

All skill levels welcome!
Certificate: 2 hours, Category B or D
