This workshop will focus on the basics of screen printing, providing participants with the fundamental knowledge necessary to explore and experiment on their own. In MCBA's darkroom and screen printing studio, learn the basics of design, screen exposure, ink and multi-color printing. Design demos will include hand-drawn images and hand-cut stencils. Printing demos will include registration techniques and successful printing tips for paper and fabric. The workshop will culminate with a group critique of work produced by each participant as well as a calendar-themed print exchange.
