6:00 PM  –  7:30 PM

with Regula Russelle
Monday, December 7; 6-7:30pm CST

Art Practice Circle meets virtually and offers a friendly, community space to listen and share about art-making during this time of physical separation. The benefits of connecting with fellow makers are multiple: to inspire and encourage each other, to be an audience for each others' work and creative process, and to move our work forward by talking about it out loud. This monthly gathering will have time for each person to share about their work--a particular work in-progress, an idea that needs exploring, or a struggle with a specific work--as well as a conversation about what inspires us and strategies for tracking progress.

$10/participant
$5 for BIPOC participants
*We are offering a reduced rate to BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) participants to honor equity and increase access and artistic opportunities for those who have historically been underrepresented in the book arts. For individuals to whom this does not apply, register at the rate listed first and, if you are able, consider making a donation when registering to support MCBA’s efforts to make reduced rates available.

What you'll need to participate: For this highly participatory virtual gathering we recommend joining on a laptop or desktop computer with a camera and microphone, if possible. You will receive step-by-step instructions for downloading Zoom (it’s free!) and accessing the workshop online approximately 2 days before the workshop’s start date. If you'd like, bring something to share with the group related to your art practice: a work in-progress, an idea that needs exploring, or a struggle with a specific work.
