A Satisfaction of Movable Mechanisms

This event is no longer on sale.

Wednesday May 5

4:30 PM  –  6:30 PM

with Shawn Sheehy
Wednesdays: May 5, 12, 19, 26; 4:30-6:30pm CT

Think back to the last time you picked up a movable card. You moved the mechanism back and forth, soothed and satisfied by the movement. You wished there was a collective noun for movable cards. Well, there is! Join seasoned paper engineer Shawn Sheehy in building a SATISFACTION of ten movable mechanisms that demonstrate a wide range of movement possibilities. All you need is a simple set of hand tools, a short stack of materials, and an interest in engaging with technical paper mechanics. To dial up the satisfaction quotient, you'll bind your collection into a tidy sample book. This virtual workshop will be technical and very, very...satisfying. In addition to materials participants source themselves, the instructor will also send a materials kit prior to the workshop (see more information on materials below).

All skill levels welcome!
